The 28th Australian Short Course On Intensive Care Medicine ("Tub's Course") (8:00 am)
THE 28th AUSTRALIAN SHORT COURSE
ON
INTENSIVE CARE MEDICINE
“Tub’s Course”
A course on Intensive Care Medicine will be held on 15-17 February 2012. The course will be held at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre in South Australia.
It is specifically aimed at trainees sitting for the CICM Fellowship Examination, and is strictly limited to those planning to sit the exam in 2012.
The Course runs for 3 days and will include tutorials on the written examination, vivas and hot cases, as well as running mock examinations.
The cost is AUS$1000.
Positions on the course are strictly limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis from Monday 7 November 2011. (N.B. applications for the course will not be accepted before 7 November). A significant degree of exam preparation by candidates is assumed prior to attending the course. In particular candidates will only be considered for the course if they have already begun preparation for the clinical exam. This must be attested to by the candidate’s Supervisor of Training (SOT) before the candidate’s nomination for the course will be registered. Please note that payment MUST be made by Friday 9 December 2011, or that person’s position will be offered to another applicant. Once payment has been made, cancellations on or prior to 13 January 2012 will be refunded at a rate of 50%. Cancellations after 13 January 2012 will not be refunded.
Accommodation will be available at all major hotels. Venues and rates will be sent to those who wish to register. Budget and extremely basic accommodation will also be available at the RAH at a nominal cost.
