You’re invited to attend the 3rd International Conference on Safety, Quality, Audit & Outcomes Research in Intensive Care which will take place at the Millennium Hotel, Queenstown on 6 and 7 August 2009.
This 3rd Conference will continue to build on the previous highly successful Conferences. The major themes for this year are “Balanced Scorecard Reporting of Intensive Care Performance” and safety initiatives such as preventing central line associated bacteraemia, video self-assessment of clinical handover processes, and nursing practices affecting safety at the bedside.
Although this Conference will be based on Intensive Care, the topics will be applicable to a wide range of health related personnel as the methods explored will be broadly based and designed to bring rigor to the many initiatives aiming to improve the safety and quality of our work.
The Conference will be theoretically grounded but practically oriented with active discussions, workshops and free papers to develop new safety and outcomes initiatives. The Conference deliberately focuses on multidisciplinary team activities and is suitable for critical care nursing, allied health staff and physicians.
Overseas speakers include Professor Kathy Rowan (Intensive Care National Audit and Research Centre, UK), Dr Ville Petilla (Finland) as well as a raft of exceptionally talented local colleagues from health, industry and the social sciences.
We look forward to welcoming you to Queenstown for what will be a fantastic Conference.
