ANZICS Clinical Trials Group Annual Winter Research Forum (Digital Event)

August 19 - August 20

We are pleased to announce that the 11th Annual Winter Research Forum will be held as a virtual meeting on the 19-20 August, 2020. The virtual meeting will enable, greater attendance, especially during these difficult times and will allow those who have traditionally found it challenging to participate in the meeting, present their exciting research and make connections with colleagues from different locations. Importantly, this increased participation in the meeting will be accomplished with minimal carbon footprint.

The Primary aims of the Winter Research Forum are to provide an informal opportunity for investigators to gain early advice and feedback on research proposal, to explore issues relevant to study design and conduct in ANZ ICUs and to foster a collaborative approach to study development with the ANZICS CTG. In addition, this year we have reached out to a number of international colleagues, to provide presentations about their experiences with COVID-19.

All members of the intensive care research community and individuals working in the public sector (I.e. in a non-commercial setting) to improve outcomes for people with critical illness are invited to attend the meeting.

This meeting will entail 4 sessions of 90min each, please see below proposed agenda:

We are now seeking expressions of interest from those who wish to present at the 11th Annual Winter Research Forum, that is, people involved in the many projects at either development, update or results presentation stage.

A meeting program will be released late July.

There is no registration fee as ANZICS CTG remains committed to ensuring our community remains connected. Registration for ANZIC Winter Research Forum 2020 will open on the 20th of July.

If you wish to make a presentation, please send an email to Eurife.Abadin@ANZICS.com.au with the presentation title and an indication of the approximate length of time preferred. New proposals also require a single-page synopsis so we can send that out to all delegates before the meeting. Please do this by no later than Friday the 24th of July, 2020.
