The ANZICS Clinical Trials Group (CTG) was formed in 1994 by a group of Intensivists keen to establish a network of investigators capable of designing and conducting multi-centre, investigator-initiated research in Australasian Intensive Care Units (ICUs). The CTG is essentially a highly collegial, multi-disciplinary community of intensive care clinicians and researchers who have to date attracted greater than $19m (AUD) in grant funding to design, conduct or support over 30 studies.
The ANZICS Clinical Trials Group (CTG) is:
- a sub-committee of the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Society (ANZICS), committed to upholding the values of the society
- a collective of Intensive Care Units (ICUs) and dedicated professionals who collaborate to support the conduct of world-class clinical research in Australasian intensive care
- committed to establishing networks of investigators and strong partnerships with external research bodies both locally and internationally.
