Who can be a member?
Membership is open to all health professionals:
Currently working within, or associated with, intensive care units of private or public hospitals within Australia and New Zealand. This includes those with university appointments or students actively engaged, or seeking to be engaged, in ICU-related research activities;
That do not hold an academic title higher than senior lecturer/senior research fellow; and
Who either have not completed a PhD, or completed a PhD less than 5 years earlier.
There is provision for individuals who do not meet these criteria to be admitted as members of NovIG at the discretion of the NovIG Executive Committee, either by invitation or on application. If you don’t meet the above criteria but still want to be involved, we very much encourage you to detail your reasons on the application form.
