ANZICS CTG Scientific Meetings

The ANZICS Clinical Trials Group (CTG) conducts scientific meetings each year. These meetings are designed to provide a rigorous peer review forum for proposed research initiatives. It is a requirement of ANZICS CTG endorsement of a study that it is presented to the ANZICS CTG community for discussion at one of these meetings.

ANZICS Clinical Trials Group Annual Meeting on Clinical Trials in Intensive Care

The ANZICS Clinical Trials Group (CTG) Annual Meeting on Clinical Trials in Intensive Care, or “Noosa”, has long been regarded as a pivotal event on the ANZICS CTG calendar. This working meeting provides a forum for the presentation, discussion, and development of intensive care research proposals, the presentation of results and updates on current ANZICS CTG studies, and didactic elements centered on the advancement of clinical research methods in critical illness. For those with an emerging or established interest in critical care research, the Noosa meeting is an opportunity to be an active member of the ANZICS CTG network and benefit from the collective experience and expertise of the trials group.

The annual ICU Research Coordinator Workshop is a unique and highly-valuable education forum and provides an opportunity for ICU Research Coordinators to network, share ideas and experiences, and further the development of research coordination as a specialised area of critical care research.

Members of the intensive care research community and individuals working in the public sector (i.e. in a non-commercial setting) to improve outcomes for people with critical illness are invited to attend the meetings.

Discount registration rates are available to individuals working in Intensive Care Units or related institutions who are members of the ANZICS Clinical Trials Group.

ANZICS CTG Winter Research Forum

ANZICS CTG Winter Research Forum 2024 Queenstown New Zealand

We are pleased to announce that the 14th Annual Winter Research Forum will be held in Queenstown New Zealand 20-22 August 2024. The face to face meeting will encourage our colleagues to come and participate in the winter meeting, present their exciting research, collaborate and make connections with colleagues from different locations.

The primary aims of the Winter Research Forum are to provide an informal opportunity for investigators to gain early advice and feedback on research proposals, to explore issues relevant to study design and conduct in ANZ ICUs and to foster a collaborative approach to study development with the ANZICS CTG. In addition, this year we have a number of exciting results presentations.

All members of the intensive care research community and individuals working in the public sector (i.e. in a non-commercial setting) to improve outcomes for people with critical illness are invited to attend the meeting.

Registration 

There is a small registration fee as ANZICS CTG remains committed to ensuring our community remains connected.

ANZICS CTG Virtual Education Sessions

We are pleased to announce the ANZICS CTG Virtual Educations Sessions for 2023. The virtual sessions will enable, greater attendance, who have traditionally found it challenging to participate in the meeting and importantly, this increased participation in the meeting will be accomplished with minimal carbon footprint.

The primary aims of the ANZICS CTG Virtual Education Sessions is to provide an informal opportunity for investigators to gain early advice and feedback on research proposals, to explore issues relevant to study design and conduct in ANZ ICUs and to foster a collaborative approach to study development with the ANZICS CTG. This year we have a number of exciting session presentations.
